The collection of your personal information is for the purpose of evaluating grant applications made to the District of North Vancouver. The legislated authority to collect your personal information is section 26(e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Background:
The Youth in Film (YIF) program was established at the District of North Vancouver in 1998 to create an opportunity in which North Shore Youth could benefit from film industry donations and contributions. Fees are collected from productions working in the District of North Vancouver to fund youth in our community wishing to enter the film industry as a career. 


Available bursaries: 

  • One bursary with a value of $2000 for each of the District of North Vancouver public secondary schools
  • Two bursaries valued at $2000 each for students from any of the District of North Vancouver public secondary schools enrolled in the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking Diploma at Capilano University
