The collection of your personal information is for the purpose of evaluating grant applications made to the District of North Vancouver. The legislated authority to collect your personal information is section 26(e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. To help promote heritage conservation in the District, we provide grants to individuals or organizations in three categories.
Heritage Planning
- Includes preparation of a Statement of Significance, conservation and maintenance plan, or both.
- Grants of up to $1,000 are awarded based on 50% of project costs.
Heritage conservation
- Includes repair and restoration to heritage property, or maintenance of designated heritage trees.
- Grants between $1,000 and $10,000 are awarded based on 50% of project costs, based on the heritage status of the property.
Heritage awareness and education
- Includes events or materials that increase public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of our built, natural, cultural, and social heritage.
- Grants of up to $1,000.
Not-for-profit and charitable organizations are eligible to receive grants of up to 75% of project costs.
